CPR FOR BEES
ERIC ROLLER
A great instrument deserves
a great song;
a blank canvas: a work of art;
a crisis: a heroine;
a theory: a proposition of truth,
tested and re-tested
until it becomes
theorem;
nature: a honey bee
that can choose
worlds of quince
and caraway,
of vetch and persimmon,
without once
humming the notes
to Stayin’ Alive
