GREEDY
Leah S.
the pills are just a blanket
raggedy, full of holes
keeps in what it’s supposed to
mostly
the floral fabric is cheap
worn transparent by the edges
time pulls the threads apart
letting bits of the monster out
he’s crafty
the bitter tablets weaken him
but the minimum dose doesn’t satisfy
moremoremore
the blanket starts to sweat
seams strain with effort
a rip tears through the air
his claws peek out
